At the same time, the design process was underway for the STAMPEDE Pedestrian Roller, which would be ideal for larger compaction areas. Further, BOM-MACH introduced their first STAMPEDE Vibratory Plate Compactor, they have proved that South African products can compete with international competitors.By the mid 1990s, which was an instant success. In 2004, Stampede was again ready to launch a new product, this time the Stampede Rammer, also known as a Tamper compactor. In January 2007, Stampede was sold to a new management and the same trusted manufacturing and sales team set out to improve and enhance the Stampede brand and reputation. In 2016, Consolidated Steel Industries sold Stampede to a consortium of businessmen and senior managers within the company. The new ownership now puts the business in the hands and control of the shareholding managers who have advanced the recent strategic changes and applied further refinement of the product development and design. The company’s national and Southern Africa footprint is also undergoing a boost through new dealership distribution agreements.
